Midwest Cylinder Head and Machine
About UsMidwest Cylinder Head and Machine started as Williams Cylinder Head in 1946 in Ames, Iowa. Don Williams, the founder, started the business as a general welding shop and it later grew to become specialized in cast iron welding including cylinder heads, blocks, and transmission housings. He moved his business to the neighboring town of Nevada in 1947. In 1991, Don sold the business to Rex Baker who had been working at Williams Cylinder Head since 1986 learning the business and understanding Don's vision for the business he created. After the purchase, the business continued to grow and a new 24,000 square foot facility was built in 1999 to accommodate the growth of the newly named Midwest Cylinder Head. In 2005 The Arnold Group of Companies purchased the business, combining the aluminum head rebuilding division into Midwest Cylinder Head, also adding crankshaft, connecting rod rebuilding, and engine kits to the business. With the expanded facility we were also able to bring our Military engine component work to one location.
As always, our number one goal at Midwest Cylinder Head and Machine is to provide you with the highest quality remanufactured cylinder heads and blocks available.
